FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ARE YOU CERTIFIED?

Yes! I am 3x certified and licensed! I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on my education in permanent makeup for brows! I traveled to California to learn from the best in the industry! I have certification in Blood Borne Pathogens as deemed necessary for tattoo artists by OSHA. I am also First-Aid certified. I am certified and licensed to ensure your health is protected and I am educated to ensure the best outcome for your brows!

WHY ARE DEPOSITS NONREFUNDABLE?

Deposits are important for artists because it holds your spot so in the event you cancel or don't show, it covers a fraction of the artist's time that you agreed to book for. When clients cancel/reschedule/don't show, they hold a spot where the artist could have potentially booked another client.

DO I NEED TO SHAVE, SHAPE OR WAX MY BROWS PRIOR?

No! I will shape your eyebrows as needed (AFTER WE AGREE ON A BROW SHAPE)! Then we will choose a color pigment that blends in with your natural brow hairs! If you feel more comfortable with them shaped and waxed before, you can a few days before your appointment. This is optional but not necessary!

DOES IT HURT?

Powder brows is less traumatic on the skin than microblading (no slicing). Pain tolerance varies by client and each client is different! Most clients describe the pain level as minimal! I use topical lidocaine (numbing) to minimize discomfort. That being said, this is still a tattoo so you may still feel a little discomfort. My clients say the pain is less than threading and I've had a handful of gals fall asleep during the procedure LOL.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The process takes approximately 2-3hrs from the moment you walk in to the completion of your brows! The first hour or so is spent listening and understand your brow goals! Tell me what you like, how you want your brows. Show me your inspiration pictures! It is also spent designing the shape and outline of your new brows! After we agree on a design, it’s time for numbing! There’s no downtime necessary! Some clients will have some slight redness and swelling around the area which is very normal and will subside within a couple hours! Most clients can go on about their normal day after their appointment!

WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS?

Some possible swelling and tenderness after the procedure is normal but there is no down time necessary! Your new brows will appear darker, wider, and sharper than the way they will heal. This is especially true for the first few days! DON’T WORRY. If you don’t normally fill in your brows you might have a harder time during these days as your eyebrows will appear too intense. THAT IS NORMAL. Brows will start flaking within the week and lighten a lot. This process can take on average 7-10 days to heal and most of my clients say the process is very easy. It is important to follow all aftercare instructions given at the end of your appointment! Be diligent about this so that your brows retain pigment and heal better!

CAN I WEAR MAKE UP TO THE APPOINTMENT?

Before and after photos will be taken, if you feel more comfortable with liner, lashes, and lips, feel free to have them on! Make up on the brows, forehead, and eyelids will be wiped off during and throughout the procedure!

HOW LONG DOES POWDER BROW LAST?

This varies by client. If aftercare instructions are followed diligently, your new brows should last approximately 12 to 36 months before they are mostly faded. Certain factors such as sun exposure, tanning beds, chemical peels, oily skin type, etc. will affect how long your brows will last. Please wait until your brows are super faded before scheduling an annual touch up for a color boost!

WILL IT LOOK NATURAL?

The word "natural" can be very subjective. What looks natural to me might look bold to you and may look soft to another person. I'm really thorough with getting to know your brow comfort level and how misty or compact you would want it. Powder brows gives the natural appearance of make-up filled brows! The ombre technique gives the brow dimension and softness. Long-term, ombre powder brow is the most natural technique.

HOW DO I PICK THE RIGHT ARTIST?

This is a tattoo on your face so how do you choose the right artist for you? When selecting an artist, make sure you have seen HEALED pictures of their work. This is super important. Of course, look at as many pictures of their work as possible. Do you like the shape and style of the brows they do? Look for reviews from previous clients! Do NOT pick your artist based on price! Most clients who think they are getting a great deal end up paying more in the long run to get their brows corrected.
